On a bright summer afternoon, the Ingenique Hong Kong team gathered at the starting point of the Braemar Hill trail, ready to combine fitness, team spirit, and real environmental impact. Armed with reusable water bottles, gloves, trash grabbers, and plenty of enthusiasm, we set off on a “plogging” hike, jogging and walking the scenic route while picking up every piece of litter we spotted along the way.
From discarded plastic bottles and snack wrappers to stray masks and cigarette butts, nothing escaped our attention. As we climbed higher, enjoying sweeping views of Victoria Harbour and Quarry Bay, our bags steadily filled with rubbish that had no place in Hong Kong’s beautiful countryside. Laughter and encouragement echoed along the trail as colleagues cheered each other on, turning clean-up duty into a fun, competitive team challenge.

After covering most of the 4-kilometre loop, we reached the perfect lookout point for our traditional group photo: sweaty, smiling, and proudly holding up the full garbage bags we had collected together. With the city skyline behind us and a cleaner trail ahead, we made our final descent and responsibly disposed of everything at the designated bins.
This plogging hike wasn’t just about exercise or stunning views; it was a hands-on reminder that protecting our planet starts with simple, collective action. By leaving Braemar Hill cleaner than we found it, the HK team lived out our ESG commitment in the most direct way possible.
A big thank you to everyone who joined and gave their time and effort to make a difference. Moments like these strengthen both our team and our resolve to keep walking the talk, one trail at a time.
Cleaner trails. Stronger bonds. Better planet.
